A step-by-step guide to setting up your organization, inviting collaborators, and uploading your first assets on the Resolut platform.
Resolut is a modern platform for managing music rights, ownership data, and creative assets. Whether you are a label, publisher, distributor, or independent artist, this guide will walk you through the essentials to get up and running quickly.
After signing up, the first step is to create an organization. Your organization is the central workspace where all your assets, collaborators, and rights data live.
Navigate to the onboarding flow and provide your organization name, type, and primary contact details. Once created, you will land on your organization dashboard where you can begin configuring your workspace.
Music rights management is collaborative by nature. Invite team members from your organization settings. Each member can be assigned a role that controls their level of access to assets, bundles, and administrative features.
Resolut supports granular permissions so you can ensure that A&R staff, legal teams, and external collaborators each see only what they need. Invitations are sent via email and can be managed from the Members tab.
Assets are the core building blocks of your catalog on Resolut. An asset can be a sound recording, a musical composition, artwork, or supporting documentation.
To upload your first asset, navigate to the Assets section and click "Upload." You can drag and drop files directly or use the file picker. Resolut validates file formats and metadata automatically during upload to catch common issues early.
Bundles group related assets together. Think of a bundle as a release, project, or delivery package. You might create a bundle for an album, a single, or a sync licensing pitch.
Inside a bundle you can arrange assets, assign ownership splits, attach agreements, and track the status of contributions from collaborators. Bundles also support real-time collaboration, so your team can work on the same package simultaneously.
The most powerful part of Resolut is its rights management layer. For each asset you can define ownership percentages, territory restrictions, and licensing terms.
Navigate to an asset's detail page and open the Rights tab. From there you can add rights holders, specify their share, and attach any supporting agreements. Resolut validates that total ownership does not exceed 100% and flags conflicts automatically.
